Historic Freemason Tea
Saturday, April 14th 2 PM & 5 PM $30 Members/$35 Not-yet members
Join us in as we immerse ourselves in the beauty of 19th century Norfolk with the help of special exhibits staffed by the archivists from the Sargeant Memorial Room at the Slover Library. Enjoy a variety of sweets and savories, with pots of hot tea to top off the experience.
Spring Open House and Craft Fair
Saturday, April 21st 11 AM – 3 PM Free Admission
Enjoy an open house at the museum while you shop small with a variety of local artisans and crafters. Try your luck at a silent auction of an assortment of items, from tea sets and books to gift certificates from local shops and eateries, with proceeds benefitting the continued restoration of the museum archive. End the day with refreshments for sale in our garden.
A Victorian Kitchen Garden: An Unveiling

We are pleased to announce the unveiling of a new permanent outdoor exhibit: A Victorian Kitchen Garden. Join Girl Scout and Docent Ava as she provides a brief lecture on her work on this special project, followed by a tour of the new exhibit. Light refreshments provided.
Derby Day Tea

Place your bets! Don your most elaborate hat to this afternoon tea honoring the traditions of the Kentucky Derby. Weather permitting, this event will be held in the museum garden.

Join us for an open house, cake, and a bit of family-friendly bubbly as we spend the day celebrating our thirtieth birthday! Special giveaways and evening entertainment will be offered. Stop by and celebrate with us!
Historic Freemason Walking Tour
Saturday, April 7th 11 AM Free for Members/$10 Not-yet members
Join longtime docent and neighborhood resident Greta as she takes you on a journey through the past along the cobblestone-lined streets of historic Freemason. Light refreshments provided.
Sunday, May 27th 11 AM Free for Members/$10 Not-yet members
Meet us at Elmwood cemetery, the historic Victorian park cemetery wherein the Hunters were laid to rest, to hear a brief lecture on the history of the holiday and help us lay flowers on the beautifully ornate graves throughout the cemetery. Light refreshments provided; feel free to bring your own flowers as desired.

Date Night Lecture Series
History lovers: The first Thursday of each month at 6 PM, hear a lecture given by local historians and scholars on 19th century culture and then indulge at a local restaurant for a delicious dinner. Rethink your date night!
